Documentation:

  • Return ticket:  It is advisable to present proof of a return or onward ticket.

  • Proof of accommodation: Hotel reservation, invitation letter or other proof of where you will be staying.

  • Proof of financial means: To show that you have enough money to cover the trip. To prove your income at Vienna airport, you can use recent bank statements, proof of employment, or even a credit card with enough credit to cover your expenses during your trip.

The minimum amount of proof of financial assistance depends on the destination country. This is because it is determined according to the local cost of living. However, as a rule, each person must prove that they have at least €70 to spend per day of travel.

Another important reference value is to prove that each person has at least €600 for the entire period of the trip, even if the stay is short. For this reason, it is advisable to carry some cash or a debit card.

  • Travel insurance: Recommended, especially for the Schengen area, to cover medical expenses.
